We were invited to contribute to a long-table dinner event on the North Vancouver Pier, founded by Adri Creative. To illuminate the setting, we were asked to design a series of light posts that would line the pier and create ambience after sunset.
Inspired by traditional wooden utility poles, we designed a series of T-shaped wooden posts, connected overhead with LED string lights in a crisscrossing pattern. The result was a geometric canopy of soft, sparkling light — creating a sense of place while complementing the long table arrangement below.
The posts were designed to be reusable year after year, with flexibility built in for reconfiguration. In subsequent editions of the event, we adjusted both the post layout and lighting pattern to offer guests something that felt both familiar and fresh.
